Chat GPT has predicted the next 10 World Cups – and one nation stands out from the rest.
The World Cup is without a doubt, the biggest prize in football. Legends are made in the tournament that comes around once in every four years.
The 2022 World Cup final in Qatar felt like it was designed by a simulation or some kind of artificial intelligence. Argentina were two goals ahead – through Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria – within 36 minutes before Kylian Mbappe’s quick-fire double levelled the scores on 81 minutes.

Messi scored Argentina’s third on 108 minutes, but Mbappe completed his hat-trick to draw France level with two minutes of extra time remaining.
Argentina edged the penalty shoot-out to secure their third World Cup. Argentinians will be pleased to know that Chat GPT has predicted that they will win the 2026 edition of the tournament, according to One Football.
However, their South American counterparts, Brazil, are set to take the trophy off their hands in 2030. If you believe Chat GPT, that is.

Four years later, France have been been predicted to secure their third triumph following the 1998 and 2018 victories.
According to AI, Germany will get their hands on the trophy in 2038, which would be their fifth title.
In 2042, Spain are predicted to win, and then England fans’ dreams will come true in 2046 if the prediction is accurate – 80 years after their 1966 World Cup win.
Chat GPT predicts that the three-time runners-up, the Netherlands, will finally win the World Cup in 2050.

Italy have been predicted to win the 2054 edition of the tournament, with Nigeria set to become the first African winner in 2058.
Then, back where we started, the World Cup will return to Argentina’s trophy cabinet in 2062. Of course, this may be entirely inaccurate.
But for Three Lions’ fans and supporters of the other nations mentioned, it provides some hope moving forward.

Fans gave their thoughts on social media.
One said: “Chat GPT must be an Argentina fan!”
Another added: “Nigeria in 2058, I will be there”
With a third saying: “England and Nigeria?”

Fans were also quick to point out that Portugal failed to get a mention despite being considered one of the strongest nations. As a result, some fans jokingly accused the AI software of being “a Messi fan” and that Cristiano Ronaldo’s nation was left out on purpose.
