A child dancer asks for support to attend the Tap World Cup – The Yucatan Times

Daniel Moo Vázquez is a 12-year-old boy who is raising funds to be able to attend the Tap World Cup in Prague. Mrs. Luz Vázquez, Daniel’s mother, points out that the child’s expenses alone amount to 100 thousand pesos.
“It’s not just the plane tickets and lodging, it’s meals, uniforms, shoes, physical therapies, and many things that are required for him to attend this competition. It’s not the first time he’s been invited, but we decided to do something on this occasion so he could attend,” Mrs Vazquez said.
He explained that two years ago, Daniel participated in several disciplines. He was selected for the World Cup in Germany, but due to financial reasons, he could not go. For this occasion, they have been preparing for a few months to be able to raise the money.
“I started to move around in June, along with my family and others to be able to raise the money, because if I wanted to go, I had to raise the money, and fortunately, we are just about to raise the whole amount,” Daniel said.
Daniel’s mother explained that they have made this effort because Daniel has worked very hard and made great sacrifices for it. It requires some performance and there are many demands.
“His coach told him that she needed him to be strong technically, but also physically and mentally, so he goes to therapy, has a nutritionist, and other things to be able to be completely well, we try to give him a balance and breaks, but if it is effort and discipline.” Daniel and his mother are leaving for Prague on Sunday, October 20. The competition begins on the 23rd and they return on October 28. Those who still want to donate can contact Mrs. Luz Vázquez at 999 232 59 94.
