Nepal nearly pulled off one of the greatest upsets in T20 World Cup history against South Africa, falling short of what would have been their first-ever win against a Full Member by just one run.

Virat Kohli’s form will be in focus when India take on Canada in their final group match in Lauderhill, Florida on Saturday. Kohli has had a forgettable tournament so far despite winning the Orange Cap in the recently-concluded IPL, getting dismissed on 1 and 4 against Ireland and Pakistan respectively followed by a golden duck against USA.
Can he bounce back to form? Indian fans sure will hope for that.

Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the T20 World Cup Group A match between India and Canada that will take place in Lauderhill, Florida. India vs Canada preview, 2024 T20 World Cup: Having sealed a spot in the 2024 T20 World Cup Super Eight stage, Team India will next lock horns against Canada in their final Group A game in Lauderhill, Florida on Saturday. The Men in Blue are unbeaten so far with three wins in as many matches, and will hope to finish the USA leg of the tournament on a high.
However, the weather in Florida for Saturday does not look good with rain and thunderstorms forecast in the buildup and during the course of the match.
India’s biggest strength has been their bowling attack. Jasprit Bumrah, the ever-reliable pacer, has been impressive with five wickets from three matches, although he had a rare off day against USA with figures of 0/25. Arshdeep Singh also proved his worth with seven wickets from three matches, including a four-fer against USA.
However, what remains a worry for India is their top-order batting. The ploy to open Virat Kohli with skipper Rohit Sharma has not gone well, with the former even enduring a golden duck against USA in the previous match. It remains to be seen if the team management would bring in Yashasvi Jaiswal to the lineup and open with Rohit, which would then mean Kohli bat at No 3.
Suryakumar Yadav, who scored an unbeaten fifty to guide India home against the Americans, will be key once again whereas Shivam Dube, should he retain his place in the playing XI, would hope to execute his shots better if he gets to bat.
Ravindra Jadeja has not had much of an impact so far in the tournament and it will be interesting to see if he retains a place in the playing XI.
Canada, meanwhile, are in fourth place with just one win three matches, and are playing for pride, having been eliminated along with Pakistan and Ireland in the aftermath of Friday’s USA-Ireland washout.
