Saudi Arabia thrashed Pakistan 4-0 when the Group G teams met in Al Ahsa for their World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Pakistan, who came into the match confident after beating Cambodia 1-0 last month in Islamabad in the first round of the qualifiers, suffered their first setback when Saudi striker Saleh Al-Shehri scored the opening goal in the sixth minute.
Saudi Arabia led 1-0 at halftime.
Shehri scored again, this time thanks to a penalty kick in the 48th minute to give Saudi Arabia a 2-0 lead over Pakistan. The hosts did more damage in the 91st and 92nd minutes of the match, when winger Abdul Rahman Ghareeb and Saudi striker Abdullah Radif scored back-to-back goals to make it 4-0 against Pakistan. 
Al Hilal attacker, 30-year-old Saleh Al-Shehri has been performing well, being crucial for the team, looking to help and victory, hoping to pass respond for the good moment he is currently going through, looking to help his club stay strong in the Saudi Arabian league, as he has been a viable option for the coach in difficult moments and in the season.
The Sumgayit defender has become one of the great leaders of the Pakistan team and was a starter in all the matches in the process towards the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Now, after making it to the Asian Cup, Suliman is the best defensive player that Pakistan needs and his contribution will be very important for the future and the search to continue improving with this group of players. He is one of the stars of his national team and comes with 2 goals scored in 5 games and being key for the team to keep fighting for a place in the next round.
Saudi Arabia in their last six matches have had a not very regular performance, as they have had several victories in the last matches, their best result was the 0-2 against Kyrgyzstan, having a streak of 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss, a very unfavorable streak for the team, but they need to not make mistakes, to have confidence in this tournament and stay alive.

The Jinnah Sports Stadium (Jinnah Sports Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of Islamabad, Pakistan. The stadium opened in 1970 and has a capacity of 48,000 spectators, making it the largest soccer stadium in the country. It is used by the Pakistan national soccer team for its home matches.
This stadium was built in the 1970s with the help of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation. It is named in honor of Muhammad Ali Jinnah the ‘father of the nation’ of Pakistan.
