New Zealand and Fiji have found out their opponents for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup™ 2024 to be held in Colombia later this year.
The draw for the tournament has been held overnight in Bogota.
OFC U-19 Women’s champions New Zealand have been drawn in Group E alongside Japan, Ghana and Austria. Fiji, who were runner-up at last year’s Oceania tournament on home soil, have been drawn in Group B against football powerhouses Brazil and France, alongside Canada.
For the first time, 24 nations will compete in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup™, with the tournament’s 52 matches to be played across four stadiums in three Host Cities – Bogotá, Cali and Medellín – from 31 August to 22 September.
