ANFA announces Nepali squad for World Cup qualifiers against UAE – Myrepublica

KATHMANDU, June 3: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced the national football team of Nepal for the second round of joint qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the Asian Cup 2027. As per the schedule, Nepal will play its first match against the UAE.

According to ANFA, head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese unveiled the 23-member squad on Sunday. 

Due to the unsuitable condition of the Dasharath Stadium, the home matches will now be played at a neutral venue in Saudi Arabia. The match between Nepal and UAE is scheduled for June 6, at the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, starting at 9:45 PM Nepali time.

The 23-member squad includes Abishek Baral, Abhishek Limbu, Ananta Tamang, Bharat Khawas, Bimal Panday, Bishal Basnet, Bishal Sunar, Chhiring Lama, Gillespye Jung Karki, Manish Dangi, Kiran Kumar Limbu, Laken Limbu, Hishub Thapaliya, Sumit Shrestha, Rohit Chand, Sanish Shrestha, Aashish Rai, Saubhagya Rai, Aayush Ghalan, Basant Jimba, Aashik Babu Chaudhary, Sanjeeb Bista, and Mani Kumar Lama.
