On May 30, Wyandotte Roosevelt’s Alex Lovell signed his national letter of intent to play soccer at University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Lovell wrapped up his high school playing career back in the fall while playing for the boys’ soccer team at Roosevelt. The senior, who primarily played as a midfielder and defender over his tenure, earned both all-Downriver League and all-district honors in the 2023 season and was named first-team all-News-Herald. He finished his career with just over 20 points (eight goals, 14 assists).
Bears head coach Pete Cano said Lovell was “one of the best all-around soccer players Wyandotte ever had.”
