Cascante Joins Costa Rica for June World Cup Qualifiers – Austin FC

La Federación Costarricense de Fútbol (the Costa Rican Football Federation) announced on Saturday the 26 players called up to the Costa Rica Men’s National Team for a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June, with Austin FC defender Julio Cascante named in the squad.
Cascante will join Costa Rica for matches against St. Kitts and Nevis (Thursday, June 6 at 9:30 p.m. CT) in San Jose, Costa Rica, and Grenada (Sunday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. CT) in St. George’s, Grenada.
Cascante has six (6) previous senior international appearances for Costa Rica, and scored his first career international goal on September 12, 2023 vs. United Arab Emirates.
