India's only warm-up match before the World Cup will be against Bangladesh at the newly constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.
The first batch of the Indian cricket team has arrived in the USA to participate in the T20 World Cup. Led by captain Rohit Sharma, prominent players like Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant were among those who traveled to the Americas. The team received a warm welcome from fans upon their arrival in New York on Sunday, May 26, a moment captured and shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Notably absent from this initial group were Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. Kohli, who finished his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign, faced paperwork issues that delayed his travel to the USA. He is expected to join the team by the end of the month. Pandya, on the other hand, is currently in England.

In an earlier social media post, captain Rohit Sharma shared a selfie from the USA, featuring himself alongside teammates Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.
India’s only warm-up match before the World Cup will be against Bangladesh at the newly constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. This venue will also host three of India’s league matches, including a highly anticipated game against Pakistan on June 9. The modular stadium, equipped with a drop-in pitch, was completed earlier this month after construction began in January.
With most of their league games at the same location, India aims to use the warm-up match to acclimate to the conditions. India’s quest for an ICC title, which has eluded them since 2013, will begin with their World Cup opener against Ireland on June 5. This tournament marks the first time the United States is co-hosting an ICC event, and it will also be the debut of the USA’s national team in a global championship.
