The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off last month and has served up some excellent cricket. The tournament has added significance this season thanks to the T20 World Cup immediately following it afterwards.

On April 30, India announced their squad for the global tournament, consisting of fifteen players as well as four travelling reserves. The squad will be led by Rohit Sharma, and the first batch of players who are not involved in the IPL playoffs have reportedly already departed for the United States.
The last date for teams to announce their final playing squad for the T20 World Cup is Saturday, May 25. 19 of the 20 participating nations have already announced a preliminary squad, and they are free to make changes until the 25th. After this date, any squad replacements will require prior approval from the ICC.
Pakistan is the only team that has not announced the squad yet.

As far as India is concerned, there are unlikely to be many changes to their current squad. Players like Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh have been left out of the fifteen, and named as travelling reserves but despite their status it does not seem likely that they will gain late entry.
The IPL form of a few players has been poor since the initial squad announcement; Shivam Dube and Yuzvendra Chahal in patrticular have not looked as sharp as they did in the first half of the tournament and so if any changes were to be made, one of these two could drop out. But beyond this, the current Indian team management has not shown a preference for chopping and changing at the last minute.
