The 2027 Women’s World Cup will take place in Brazil after a vote by FIFA on Friday, meaning the 2027 edition of the Women’s World Cup will be the first held in South America.
The Brazil bid saw off a combined bid from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to win the next edition of the tournament.
Last year’s World Cup, held in Australia and New Zealand, saw a record 1.98 million fans attend, with 75,784 present as Spain beat England in the final.
