–The East Sac County Raider soccer teams split with the Greene County Rams with the Raider boys falling 5-0, and the Raider girls winning 2-0
–The boy’s game saw four goals from Ram senior Gesser Gutierres, as well as a goal from Jack Hanson. The Rams would score three times in the opening half to go up 3-0 at the break. The team would add two more second-half goals en route to the 5-0 victory. The Rams end the regular season with a record of 10-2 and will be the #3 seed in the Class 2A Substate 7 bracket. The Rams will open up the playoff by hosting Panorama on Monday night. For the Raiders they fall to 4-4 and play host to Kuemper Catholic on Saturday at 9:00 am (a game that will be broadcast on KAYL) before getting into playoff action Monday night vs AHSTW in the Class 1A Substate 1 bracket (a game that will be broadcast along Storm Lake Radio Stations).
–The girl’s game saw a defensive affair as the Raiders would tally one goal in each half. The Seniors for the Raiders would start the game for the first 11:30 of the match. Later on, it would be Chloe Bieret who would connect on her 12th of the season at 15:32 to give the Raiders the 1-0 lead. The Raiders would carry that lead into the halftime break. The second half saw the Raiders double their lead quickly as Kenna Meyer connected on her 18th of the season at 36:14 to give the Raiders the 2-0 lead. The Raiders would go on to win 2-0. The Raiders end the regular season with a record of 7-5 (second most wins in a season in school history) and will host Sioux Center next Wednesday in 1A playoff action at 7 pm (the game will be broadcast along Storm Lake Radio Stations), and for the Rams, they will wrap up the regular season with a record of 0-11 and travel to play AHSTW in Class 1A Region 6 play on Monday night.
