U-17 WWCQ: Flamingos Hold Burkina Faso To 1-1 Draw Away

Nigeria’s Flamingos played 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in Bamako, Mali, in the first leg, third round of the 2024 FIFA U-17 women’s World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.

The Flamengos looked to be heading for victory but Burkina Faso equalized with less than 10 minutes left in the second half.
After dominating most part of the game, the Flamingos eventually broke the deadlock thanks to Chidi Harmony in the 55th minute.
But in the 84th minute Burkina Faso equalised thanks to Rainata Oubda.

The return leg comes up on May 18 inside the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja.
The winner between the Flamingos and Burkina Faso will progress into the final qualifying round.
This year’s FIFA U-17 women’s World Cup will take place in the Dominican Republic.
The 16-team tournament will run from 16 October to 3 November 2024.
