MEN'S BOULDER FINAL TO FEATURE SCHUBERT, POSCH, FLOHÉ, AND JAPANESE TRIO – Ifsc Climbing

The final will take place tonight at 18:00 (UTC-6:00), followed by Speed finals at 20:00.
There must be something in the air of Salt Lake City that makes Austria’s Jakob Schubert perform particularly well on the Boulder wall.
At the IFSC World Cup that is currently taking place in the State capital of Utah, USA, the experienced climber placed first in the men’s semi-final round, putting himself in the position of obtaining his best result since the sixth place he secured in May 2022 in Salt Lake City, or winning his first medal since the bronze he win in May 2021 – also in Salt Lake City.
“If you’re having a good start in the round and the crowd is going wild is just so much fun. I haven’t had a round like this in while, it’s the best thing about Boulder, if you know you’re doing well, you can truly live the moment and it’s truly something special,” said the Austrian climber.
Schubert – who closed with three tops and four zones – was followed by his teammate Jan-Luca Posch, second with two and four.
Team Japan booked half of the spots in the men’s final round with Narasaki Meichi, Anraku Sorato and Amagasa Sohta, respectively in third, fifth, and sixth place, while Germany’s Yannick Flohé finished in fourth position and completed the field of final participants.
