The event will begin in June 2025 and take place in the United States. According to FIFA, this will be an inclusive and groundbreaking competition. We are looking at something fresh, a novel concept in the world of sports. In theory, the FIFA Club World Cup will be a world championship.
Since its announcement, the Cup has stirred up controversy in addition to the excitement of fans. The launch of the first Club World Cup has been dogged by financial battles, resistance from European soccer establishments, as well as several organizational missteps.
But, while some people wondered if this event will happen, it most definitely will! People are already getting their tickets, and even casinos and sportsbooks are preparing for the pool of wagers they’ll get inspired by this event. If you enjoy gambling and betting, Gamblizard Germany, the leading German site for casino players, can tell you all about the top casinos/sportsbooks where you can find major events like this one. While you are waiting for it to start and the bets to appear, you can always enjoy a FIFA-themed casino game or a major welcome bonus, of course.
The FIFA Club World Cup is now a highly anticipated reality. The organization has chosen twelve U.S. stadiums and signed a global broadcast deal with DAZN. The group-stage draw is now complete and we know exactly who will compete against whom. The full schedule has already arrived.
The official trophy for the Cup’s winner will be lifted for the very first time in 2025. It was unveiled by FIFA in November of last year and crafted by Tiffany & Co. The trophy will be presented to the winners of the inaugural FIA Club World Cup, who will receive their award after the final, which is set to take place at the MetLife Stadium.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be held in the United States in its entirety. It will take place between June 14th and July 13th of 2025. The draw for the 32 teams took place in Miami on December 5th, 2024.
The Cup begins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. In this first match, Inter Miami will play Al Ahly at 8 p.m. ET. The final match will conclude at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The 12 U.S. venues set to host these games are:
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
TQL Stadium, Cincinnati
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina
The Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California
Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida
MetLife Stadium, New Jersey
GEODIS Park, Nashville
Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando, Florida
Lumen Field, Seattle
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
Audi Field, Washington
The long-awaited global event will bring together some of the most successful clubs from six international confederations i.e. AFC, Concacaf, CAF, CONMEBOL, UEFA, and OFC. MetLife will host nine of the matches, while Philadelphia and Miami will host eight games each. Seattle, Atlanta, and the Rose Bowl host six matches.

While no one can truly know the event’s outcome, some teams are big favorites among football fans. These include the European giants such as Real Madrid, a UEFA Champions League winner, as well as Botafogo from Brazil who won the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores.
Europe has the most representation at the event this year with 12 teams. South America follows behind with six teams, while there are four teams each for Asia, Africa, America, and the Caribbean. Lastly, Oceania has one team present.

Now, the selection has left many people wondering – why are giants like Barcelona and Liverpool, among others, not included in this event? There were two qualification routes for this event, which eliminated most other teams.
First, there were the continental championships. A club that won the Copa Libertadores, UEFA Champions League, or the equivalents between 2021 and 2024 qualified for the second round of the election.
Next, FIFA used a results-based ranking system to fill the slots. Only the top two clubs from each country could qualify via their rankings. So, Liverpool missed out on this event because Chelsea and Manchester City won the Champions League in 2023 and 2021, respectively. Similarly, Barcelona lost a spot to Atletico Madrid because their performance in the Champions League wasn’t as great in the last four seasons.
Football fans are always thrilled to hear of new exciting events. This year, one of the events that bring them the most joy is the FIFA Club World Cup. This is the first year for FIFA’s prestigious event – and based on its popularity even before it begins, there will be many more years to follow. All that’s left to do now is wait – and grab those tickets as soon as they come out if you want to watch some of the best teams in action in person!
