SPORTS News:
The Los Alamos High School Girls Soccer team concluded their remarkable season as District 2-4A Champions and State Semifinalists, finishing with an impressive 15-6-1 record and an extraordinary 14 Academic All-District award winners.
The Hilltoppers were dominant in district play, finishing with a perfect 6-0 record and an astonishing defensive record – not allowing a single goal during their district campaign. Their formidable defense, combined with a dynamic offense, propelled them to the top of the standings and the #3 seed for their post-season run.
The Hilltoppers’ path to the State Semifinals was not without its challenges, but their determination and skill shone through as they defeated tough opponents on the road to the final four. While their season ended in the State Semifinals, the team’s success was a testament to the strength of the program and the commitment of each player. The Hilltoppers’ #3 ranking marks one of the team’s best seasons in recent history firmly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
In addition to their team’s success, many Hilltoppers earned individual recognition for their outstanding performances. The team had a strong presence in the postseason awards, with multiple players receiving All-District and All-State honors from the New Mexico High School Coaches Association (NMHSCA) and the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Association.
