Two Oregon football stars made decisions on their futures on Monday following a season that saw the No. 1 Ducks’ national championship ambitions conclude with a loss to No. 8 Ohio State at the Rose Bowl in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.
Starting running back Jordan James and interior defensive lineman Derrick Harmon both declared for the NFL Draft Monday, following in the steps of already declared receiver Tez Johnson.
James announced the decision on Instagram after rushing for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Ducks as the lead back this season. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry over his three-year career at Oregon and totaled 2,215 yards rushing.
Harmon, who transferred to Oregon over the offseason after three years at Michigan State, also announced his decision on Instagram. The junior totaled 45 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and five sacks in his most productive season yet and is projected to potentially be a first round pick in the upcoming draft.
The pair of announcements comes a day after star receiver Johnson announced he would also declare for the draft. Johnson, a former Troy transfer, racked up 2,080 yards over two seasons with the Ducks along with 20 touchdowns.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be hosted by Green Bay and takes place from April 24-26. The draft will be held around Lambeau Field and its adjacent Titletown District.
