MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Whether you’re from out of town or a lifelong Memphian, everyone has something they love about the Bluff city.
The AutoZone Liberty Bowl is a major part of that love for many people. Football fans came out to enjoy some food, fun, and, of course, football.
One visitor said, “Memphis is a really good place, and we need to really think during events like this, if we all come together, sporting events is a good time to do it.”
Patrons danced, sang, ate, and celebrated after the Christmas holiday just a few days ago. Every city’s resident and visitor has their unique appreciation for it.
Joey Sanchez, who visited Memphis from Omaha, Nebraska, said he’s walking away with memorable experiences.
“Memphis is actually a pretty cool town; I’ve never been here before,” he said. “The people are really friendly, and I really like this place. The bowl game itself offers so many fun activities. I just wanted to come to a bowl game; I’ve never been to one before.”
Another fan added, “The hospitality is always great. I always have a good time coming to the Liberty Bowl. The people here are great. They make you feel like you’re part of something.”
With Beale Street just a few minutes down the road, many people are carrying their celebration downtown to wrap up an exciting day.
