The Parker Broncs’ boys’ soccer team got their first win of the 2024-25 season with a 5-4 win over the Florence Gophers Monday, Dec. 16 in Parker. Victor Aguilar pulled off a hat trick as he scored three goals for the Broncs.
The Broncs then faced the Kingman Bulldogs on Dec. 17. They came away with a 3-1 loss. This was the first 3A West region game for both teams, and the first region game for any of the teams in the 3A West.
The previous week, the Broncs fell to the Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles, 9-1, Monday, Dec. 9 at Joe Bush Stadium. This marked the first time this season the Broncs scored a goal in a game.
The week leaves the Broncs with a record of 0-1 against their 3A West rivals, 1-3 against 3A teams and an overall record of 1-3. They have moved past the River Valley Dust Devils and are fifth in the 3A West standings.
The Broncs will take a break until after the start of 2025. The Broncs are scheduled to play in the Bohdie Larson Celebration Classic Jan. 2-4 at the Red Mountain Soccer Complex in Mesa. Arete Prep is the host school.
The Broncs’ next regular season game will be a home game will be on Jan. 7, when they play a 3A West rival, the Odyssey Institute Minotaurs. They’ll follow this on Jan. 9 with a home game against another 3A West rival, the Kingman Bulldogs. Game time for both games is 6 p.m. at Joe Bush Stadium.
