Ole Miss landed a freshman from Alabama football this week: wide receiver Caleb Odom.
Odom, who entered the transfer portal early in the window, told On3 he is transferring to the Rebels.
Odom is a 6-5, 227-pound receiver from Carrollton, Georgia. Odom was signed as a tight end before he switched to play receiver for 2024. Then he caught seven passes for 65 yards in his freshman season over 12 games; he mainly served as a backup receiver and special teams player in his freshman season.
Alabama has had about a dozen players enter the transfer portal since it opened Dec. 9. Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide has secured two transfers already in Florida’s Kelby Collins and Utah’s Cameron Calhoun. Alabama also brought back Danny Lewis Jr. at tight end after he entered the transfer portal, and the Crimson Tide stopped Jaylen Mbakwe from entering the transfer portal.
