The Vermont Catamounts and Marshall Thundering Herd both look to complete Cinderella runs when the 2024 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship kicks off Monday night in Cary, N.C. The title game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET with TV coverage on ESPN2 and streaming on-demand.

The unseeded Catamounts have knocked off No. 7 Hofstra (2-1), No. 2 Pittsburgh (2-0) and No. 3 Denver (1-1 PKs) on their path to reaching the NCAA title game. Vermont advanced past Denver in the NCAA semifinals, 4-3, in penalty kicks after playing to a 3-3 draw through regulation and two overtime periods. The Catamounts made four straight penalty kicks and secured the win on misses by Denver’s Ben Smith and Trevor Wright.
The Thundering Herd drew the No. 13 overall seed and scored seven combined goals in wins over Furman (4-0) and No. 12 SMU (3-2) in the second and third rounds. And in the semifinal round, Marshall was tasked with beating No. 1 overall seed Ohio State and did, 1-0, on a score by Tarik Pannholzer in the seventh minute of action.
