Spain win 10-8 against Colombia.
The teams were on level terms by the end of the first period as goals from Jose Oliver and Ramy put the Spaniards 2-0, before Esleider fired home twice with less than one minute to play in the period to equalise. Eight goals were scored in the second period in the crucial encounter as Oliver completed his hat-trick, Ramy netted his second of the fixture and Suli Batis and Rigaud also got their names on the scoresheet for Spain, whilst Esleider found the net for the third time as Angel and Kevin also both struck for the Colombians. The scoring didn’t stop there in the fixture either Oliver scored his fourth, Batis secured his brace and Chiky Ardil found Spain’s final goal of the match to take them to double digits. Prolific Esleider did score his fourth, as Sebas and Pantoja scored the 2023 champions’ eighth of the match, but it wasn’t enough as Spain held on to become the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup 2024 champions.
USA win 6-4 against Mexico.
USA led after 12 minutes, with Rezende scoring the only goal of the period with less than two minutes to play. Despite Enoch López firing home for the hosts, Akol’s brace alongside a goal from Silveira meant the Americans held a 4-1 lead with one period to play. Mexico attempted a late comeback in the match, scoring three times in the final period with a Guzman double and a second of the match from López, but USA found two of their own courtesy of Akol and Chavez to clinch their first victory of the competition.
