The annual Army-Navy game is one of college football’s greatest traditions. It’s a heated rivalry, and there is so much pride between these two programs that whatever happens to both during a given season is irrelevant without a win in this game.
The two service academies have been playing each other pretty much every year, dating back to the 1890s. Having this being one of the only games during this time slot on this Saturday annually makes this game extra special.
Saturday’s game marks just the second time the game is being played in Landover Maryland, as FedEx Field hosted the game back in 2011. Philadelphia has hosted the game the most, including 90 of the total 124 games in this series.
2024’s Army-Navy includes two teams that are having some great seasons. The Black Knights are 11-1, and coming off an AAC title win over Tulane last week in just their first season in the conference. Navy is also having a solid year, sitting at 8-3, with a chance for a nine-win season for the first time since 2016.

4:33 p.m.Daily’s pass to Cam Schurr is just a tad too high, and Army is forced to punt. Let’s see what Navy does with 1:25 to go and two timeouts remaning.
4:29 p.m.  — On 2nd-and-6 from Army’s 22, it looks like Daily fumbles but recovers the football. The refs review it and confirm Army football on 3rd-and-4.
4:23 p.m. — Navy is forced to punt after its drive stalls at Army’s 36. We’ll see if the Black Knights can get some points on the board before halftime.
4:20 p.m. Navy quarterback Blake Horvath has some wheels! A 37-yard run by him puts Navy down to Army’s 33-yardline.
4:16 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Army is finally on the board! Daily caps off a great Army drive with a 23-yard touchdown to Hayden Reed. We got ourselves a game here, folks.
4:14 p.m. — Army has a nice drive going, and Daily hits Casey Reynolds for 18 yards on 4th-and-three. The Black Knights are driving, and are at Navy’s 28-yardline.
4:04 p.m. TOUCHDOWN Navy capitalizes on the interception with a Horvath 18-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Chatman. The Midshipmen take a 14-0 lead early.

3:58 p.m. — Army facing a 3rd-and-8, and Daily throws an interception. Navy will get the ball deep in Black Knights territory. Not the best throw by Daily there.
3:55 p.m. — The Black Knights are facing a 4th-and-inches from their own 17 as we head to the second quarter. Daily gets the first down to keep the drive going.
3:50 p.m. — Army gets the ball back following a Navy punt. The Midshipmen’s drive was thwarted by this fumble:

3:41 p.m. — Daily’s hand is bleeding, looks like he got stepped on in a pile during Army’s first drive. Trainers have been spotted taping up his left hand.

3:36 p.m. — Army’s first drive results in just six plays, 13 yards and a punt. Nice job by Navy’s defense containing Army quarterback Bryson Daily early.
3:28 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Horvath does it all on this drive, including a one-yard touchdown run to give Navy an early 7-0 lead.

3:25 p.m. — On 3rd-and-6, it looked like Horvath scored a touchdown, but on second look, his elbow was down. Navy gets first down, though.
3:20 p.m. — On Navy’s first drive, the Midshipmen are already deep in Army territory. Midshipman quarterback Blake Horvath throws a screen pass to Alex Tecza for 31 yards to get to the Army 22.
