Vanderbilt football’s 2025 schedule was announced by the league Wednesday.
When the conference expanded to 16 teams for the 2024 season, it was determined that teams would play the same opponents in 2025 as they had in 2024, but with game locations flipped. The games, however, would be in a different order.
The Commodores, thus, will face LSU, Auburn, Kentucky and Missouri at home in SEC play and Texas, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee on the road. All four of Vanderbilt’s road opponents won at least nine games in 2024.

In the non-conference schedule, Vanderbilt will face Charleston Southern, Georgia State and Utah State at home plus a return trip to Virginia Tech. The Aggies were scheduled to replace Colorado State after the Rams canceled that game in October.
Despite the more difficult SEC schedule, the Commodores went 6-6 in 2024 and 3-5 against SEC opponents, qualifying for their first bowl game since 2014.
