Former India cricketer Yusuf Pathan who was the part of MS Dhoni-led side during the 2011 ODI World Cup backs the decision of the Board of Control for Cricket in India for not sending the Rohit Sharma-led team to the neighbouring nation citing players’ safety.
Champions Trophy 2025 was scheduled to take place in Pakistan but the Indian government denied sending the team to the neighbouring nation citing players’ safety after India’s stance the tournament will now played in a hybrid model where India-centric matches will take place in Dubai.
“Dekhiye jo BCCI hai woh hamesha player ke baare mein sochta hai, unki security ke baare mein sochta hai, unki family ke baare mein sochta hai. Toh jo bhi BCCI karta hai, woh player ki hit mein hee hota hai. Aur saath hee jo desh ke hit mein hota hai, woh BCCI karta hai” Yusuf Pathan told ANI.
(Look, BCCI always thinks about the players, their security and family. So, whatever BCCI does, they always do so, keeping in mind the safety of the players. Along with that, the BCCI also does whatever is good for the country.)

As per sources close to Sports Tak, India games will take place in Dubai and if the Men in Blue qualify for the semis then it will take place at a neutral venue otherwise they have Lahore as a backup option for the clash.
To make arrangements the PCB not get any additional compensation and they will not get ant additional revenue from ICC for the clashes taking place at a neutral venue. The International Cricket Council (ICC) also denied the PCB’s suggestion of a Tri-series against India.
