CHAMPAIGN — Spring football is in the books.
Illinois head coach Bret Bielema will spend the early part of this week meeting with his roster and will hit the road recruiting. Illinois is expected to be active in the transfer portal to round out its roster ahead of summer workouts and fall camp. 
That’s a story for another day.
Saturday’s spring game provided the best look at the two-deep — despite injuries in the secondary painting an incomplete picture of the rotation — as the roster is currently constructed.
Spring ball led the way for a handful of players to raise their stock and move up the depth chart, and transfer additions are solidifying their spots in the two-deep and as starters.
