Vietnam’s total points remained unchanged at 1161.11. The team’s rise in the ranking was due to a poor run from the teams above them, Guinea-Bissau and Zimbabwe, who lost several consecutive matches and saw significant point deductions. As a result, Vietnam moved up from 119th to 116th, maintaining their position as the second-highest-ranked team in Southeast Asia.
Thailand continues to lead Southeast Asia with 1228.24 points, ranking 97th globally. However, the “War Elephants” dropped one place due to point deductions after two consecutive draws against Lebanon and Laos.
Indonesia made significant progress, jumping five places to 125th following their impressive 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Indonesia are now third in Southeast Asia.
Other Southeast Asian teams in the ranking include Malaysia (132nd) and the Philippines (149th). Timor Leste remains the lowest-ranked team in Southeast Asia at 196th.
In Asia, Japan maintained the first position, ranking 15th in the world, followed by Iran and South Korea.
The top five teams in the world remained unchanged with Argentina, France, Spain, England and Brazil.
