FIFA has released its updated international team rankings for November, with Egypt falling three spots to 33rd place.
The drop in rankingscertainly come as a surprise, as the Pharaohs drew both of their November fixtures, finishing 1-1 against Cape Verde and Botswana.
Despite remaining unbeaten, the Egyptian National Team is now Africa’s third-highest-ranked team, trailing Morocco in 14th place and Senegal in 17th.
Algeria follows Egypt in fourth place among African nations, ranking 37th globally, while Nigeria completes the top five after falling eight spots to 44th.
In the Arab rankings, Egypt holds on to its second spot behind Morocco. Algeria is third, followed by Qatar in fourth, which dropped to 47th, and Tunisia in fifth, slipping five places to 52nd.
The overall top five positions remain unchanged. Argentina continues to lead after their Copa America triumph, followed by France in second, Spain in third, and England and Brazil in fourth and fifth, respectively.
