Calgary, Alta. (November 27, 2024) – FIS, together with Alpine Canada and the PwC Tremblant World Cup Organization committee announced today that snow control will be postponed 72 hrs. While we’ve had warmer conditions the past few weeks, we have a favorable long range weather forecast, ample window for snowmaking and comprehensive plans in place to be ready to deliver a positive snow control and the World Cup races.
“The team has done a tremendous amount of work in preparing for this situation and we are encouraged by the weather forecast. We are confident in the volunteers and the Tremblant crew to have the mountain race ready. In order to allow them time to do their work, snow control decision has been postponed a couple of days,” said Peter Gerdol, FIS Race Director of the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup.
The FIS Race Director, as well as Antoine Michaud, Chief of Race PwC Tremblant World Cup, will monitor progress over the coming days with the next update on Saturday November 30th.
AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Women’s giant slalom races are scheduled for Saturday December 7 and Sunday Dec 8.
