Vermont men’s soccer chases another deep run in the NCAA Tournament with today’s second-round matchup at Hofstra.
The Catamounts (12-2-5) has reached the Round of 16 in each of the past two NCAA tournaments, including the quarterfinals in 2022. Thursday night at home, Vermont blasted Iona 5-0, tallying the most goals by an America East school in NCAA Tournament history.
The Hofstra Pride (14-4-2), seeded seventh in this tournament, earned a first-round bye after winning the Coastal Athletic Association championship for a fourth straight season. The Pride also advanced to the Round of 16 a year ago.
