Chiefs, Team USA host 200 athletes preparing for girls flag football league – KCTV 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs and Team USA hosted hundreds of high school athletes in preparation for the pilot program of a girls’ flag football league.
Team USA says that hundreds of high school flag football athletes gathered at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, April 21. The Chiefs partnered with the team to field more than 200 athletes from Missouri high schools through a pilot program for girls’ flag football teams this spring.
The Kansas City Chiefs noted that they held a girls’ flag football luncheon and panel discussion with Team USA U17 Flag Football Assistant Coach Angellica Grayson, Team USA Quarterback and 3-time gold medalist Vanita Krouch, Chiefs EVP and CMO Lara Krug and Chiefs Assistant Athletic Trainer Tiffany Morton.
Meanwhile, the discussion was moderated by KC Current VP of Communications Dani Welniak as leaders talked about women working in sports and the growth and pathways for women’s sports today.
After the luncheon, the organizations indicated that participants watched the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Flag Football Championship Game before they participated in a College Flag Football Showcase.
