Inter Miln striker Mehdi Taremi started for Iran in a World Cup qualifying clash with Kyrgyzstan during the international break.
It was a hugely important match for Team Melli’s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Taremi scored the first goal early in the first half of the match. However, that was just to be the first of many goals.
In the end, Iran prevailed in a 3-2 thriller. Former Roma and Bayer Leverkusen striker Sardar Azmoun scored the winner.
Inter striker Taremi took to Instagram to celebrate the 3-2 victory.
