New Zealand Football CEO Andrew Pragnell is encouraging as many fans as possible to get behind the All Whites to support the side to make history:
“It is a privilege to be hosting these hugely significant games, for both Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider Oceania region, in Wellington and Auckland, especially at a time when the All Whites are going from strength to strength and with so many Kiwi players plying their trade in top football leagues around the world, all competing for spots in the team.
“These games will make history for whoever wins, as the first team from the OFC region to qualify directly for the FIFA World Cup.
“For the All Whites, it is brilliant to have, all going well, two more games at home next year, and we will continue to bring them home every year with games in the South Island next on the list, with Christchurch’s new stadium Te Kaha and Dunedin both in contention for 2026.
“It was amazing to see all of the Kiwis at the games this month in Hamilton and Auckland and we encourage fans across the country to get behind the team to push to secure a place at the biggest sporting event in the world for just the third time in our history.
“These games are a moment for all of the family, so we have made all kids tickets free during our pre-sale so young people can be there to hopefully witness a special moment for New Zealand sport.”
