Westwood, MA — WPI football saw five standout performers earn spots on the 2024 NEWMAC Postseason All-Conference Teams, as voted on by the league’s coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.
The Engineers boasted three first-team selections, with Billy Tyrrell (Oxford, MA), Douglas Cain (Jefferson, MA), and Gavin Chieff (Bernardsville, NJ) earning their first-team nods after second-team honors in 2023. Senior offensive lineman Thomas McDonagh (Northport, NY) and graduate quarterback Mike Ingraffia (Kings Park, NY) also claimed their first career postseason accolades.
Tyrrell anchored an offensive line that helped the Engineers amass 1,519 rushing yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry, and scoring seven rushing touchdowns.
