An Orangevale school is mourning the death of one of its students and star football players.
Casa Roble High School football coach Chris Horner said senior Julian Snyder was killed in a crash over the weekend.
On Monday, a memorial was growing outside of the school’s stadium, with students leaving flowers and writing messages on posters. Family and friends gathered for a vigil.
Horner said Snyder was “the ultimate human being.”
“The ultimate glue guy of the team and the school. He had so many groups of factions of friends and he just got along with everybody,” Horner told KCRA 3. “It’s a shame we have to go through this.”
Horner said students from rival schools also stopped by on Monday to remember Snyder, calling it a testament to the football player’s character.
