Alabama football is back home for its final non-conference game of the 2024 regular season.
The No. 9 Crimson Tide will host Mercer in its annual game against an FCS opponent, the first in the Kalen DeBoer era. Alabama has faced Mercer four times and last beat the Bears in a 48-14 home win in 2021.
Heading into Saturday, Mercer is the No. 7 FCS team in the country according to the Stats Perform FCS Top 25. The Bears‘ only loss came against Samford on Oct. 19.

No. 9 Alabama kicks off against FCS opponent Mercer at 1 p.m. Saturday from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
No. 9 Alabama 42, Mercer 6: Alabama has been clicking defensively, a unit that has forced six takeaways and one touchdown in its past two games against SEC opponents. The Crimson Tide really didn’t need the passing game against LSU, one where Jalen Milroe shined and the Crimson Tide dominated. Alabama’s final non-conference game of the season should go without a hitch, and include game film for many second- and third-string players by its end.
