It was a night to remember for Ecuador in Guayaquil. La Tri were in desperate need of a win over Bolivia, as they're hoping to keep climbing in the World Cup qualifiers standings. Well, the job got done on Thursday night.
In front of a packed stadium, Ecuador took down Bolivia 4-0. Enner Valencia opened the scoring with a goal from the penalty spot, while Gonzalo Plata scored the next two goals. Both playmakers looked fantastic in this one.

Alan Minda closed the scoring in the second half to seal the 4-0 win. With the victory, Ecuador is now in fifth place of the CONMEBOL table, with Uruguay in fourth place right ahead of them. The top six teams from South America will automatically qualify to the '26 World Cup.
