12th November 2024 – (Hong Kong) FIFA has confirmed that the draw for the inaugural 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will take place in Miami, United States, on 5th December. The event marks an expansion of the tournament, which will now feature 32 teams and is set to unfold in June and July 2025.
The draw ceremony is scheduled to begin at 13:00 local time (19:00 CET) and will be streamed live on FIFA.com, FIFA+, and various other platforms.
While the final list of participating clubs has yet to be finalised, the last team will be determined by the Copa Libertadores final on November 30, where Atletico Mineiro will face Botafogo.
Matches will be hosted in 12 stadiums across the United States, following FIFA’s decision to transform the former Club World Championship into a quadrennial competition. The 32 teams will be organised into eight groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stage.
