The men picked up their third win in a row Tuesday, 3-0 over Modesto, and are now in first place in the Big 8 Conference at 4-2-1 and 10-4-2 overall.
Jerardo Herrera Macias scored two goals and added an assist while Jaxon Cho scored the other goal in the win for the Bear Cubs, who are tied for 19th in the California Community College Athletic Association rankings.
The Bear Cubs women, who are tied for 13th in the CCCAA rankings, dropped their regular-season finale 1-0 to No. 9 Sierra on Tuesday and finished third overall in the Big 8 standings. They went 5-1-1 in their final seven games of the regular season and will begin the Big 8 Conference Tournament on Friday.
The men still have three games remaining in the regular season, starting with a Big 8 match at American River on Friday. They return home for a match against Cosumnes River next Tuesday before their regular season finale at Folsom Lake next Friday.
The SRJC wrestling team finished second overall as a team at the Lassen Invitational last week, with a number of individual placers.
Joe Ellis (197 pounds) placed first in his weight class with three falls en route to being named the most outstanding upper-weight wrestler.
Maka Edpao (133), Ali Hamzia (141) and Zac Morgan (174) each placed third and Tito Rodarte (149) placed fourth, while Derek Ruffin (125), Karmine Berndt (141) and Ikaika Madayag (149) all placed fifth.
The Bear Cubs returned to dual-match action Wednesday night at College of the Redwoods.
