LSU’s College Football Playoff hopes are on the line next Saturday, as the No. 16 Tigers get set to welcome No. 14 Alabama to Death Valley on No. 9.
The Tigers, in Brian Kelly’s third season in the Bayou, have continued to be a dominant force in the SEC. Sitting at 6-2, LSU already has some gritty wins over South Carolina, No. 19 Ole Miss in overtime and a 34-17 win over UCLA.
However, all of that could be for naught if the Tigers can’t stop the Crimson Tide next week. What was once a perennial matchup between longtime SEC foes is now a de-facto playoff elimination game following LSU’s 38-23 loss to No. 10 Texas A&M.
