Oman Vs Netherlands, ICC Cricket World Cup League 2: OMA Win By Eight Wickets – Outlook India

Oman broke no sweat in chasing down Netherlands’ 133-run target, getting there in 34.1 overs to win their ICC Cricket World Cup League Two clash by eight wickets in Al Amerat, Muscat on Tuesday (November 5, 2024). This was Oman’s fourth win in the league. (More Cricket News)
Jatinder Singh’s men bundled out the Dutch side for a modest 132-run total in 40.2 overs, with Shakeel Ahmed snaring four wickets for just 26 runs and Bas de Leede top-scoring for Netherlands with an 89-ball 51.
In response, Oman openers Jatinder (58 off 95) and Ashish Odedara (27 off 57) compiled an 81-run stand to lay the grounds for an easy win. Wasim Ali and Hammad Mirza gave the finishing touches as the Asian side lost just two wickets.

Oman and Netherlands are currently engaged in a tri-series along with United Arab Emirates. The tri-series is a part of the Cricket World Cup League 2. The tournament is a part of the qualification process of the 2027 Cricket World Cup that takes place in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Oman entered the match on the back of a win against the United Arab Emirates, while the Netherlands lost their match against the same opposition.
