New Rochelle — Manhattan went down early and found a way to tie the match before Iona secured the game-winning goal in the 35th minute to seal a 2-1 victory at Mazzella Field. Sebastiano Musu scored his fifth goal of the season on a header that was assisted by Ensa Sanneh in the 34th minute.
Manhattan applied enough pressure on the Gaels, tallying 12 shots and eight corner kicks, but didn’t have enough in their bag to tie the scoreline for the second time. Ludvig Malberg recorded four saves in the loss.
Next Time Out
Manhattan travels to Sacred Heart (8-5-1, 3-3-1 MAAC) on Wednesday, Nov. 6 for the regular season finale. Kick off is slated for 6 PM from Park Ave Field and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
