While the 2024 NJSIAA/Xfinity Football State Championships begin on Friday, other teams that narrowly missed the playoffs are still playing games.
Teams across the state have picked up consolation games against each other, giving players — and especially seniors — at least one more game before their respective high school season ends.
Consolation games begin Wednesday.
