The U.S. Under-17 men’s youth national team will face the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis and Cuba at the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers from Feb. 7-16 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
CHICAGO – The U.S. Under-17 men’s youth national team will face the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis and Cuba at the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers from Feb. 7-16 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
As the FIFA U-17 World Cup will become an annual, 48-team competition in 2025, eight teams will earn berths from the Concacaf region. Qualifying features a new pool play format. The tournament has 35 teams in eight groups, contested across six different host countries. The winner of each group will advance to the U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
The USA will be seeking a record 19th ticket to the U-17 world championship.
All three of the USA’s group stage matches will take place at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela. U-17 MYNT head coach Gonzalo Segares hails from Costa Rica and earned 19 caps with Los Ticos from 2007-11.
