Wendell boys soccer wins 4A state championship – KMVT

POST FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — With the Wood River boys and Buhl girls losses earlier in the day, it all came down to the Wendell Trojans boys soccer team to bring a state championship back to the Magic Valley and District IV, and they would do just that with a 1-0 win over Coeur d’Alene Charter.
After a scoreless first half, Cesar Muralles scored the season’s biggest goal for the Trojans early in the second, and that would be all the stout defense needed to claim the 4A boys state championship.
This is Wendell’s first state title since 2014 and if you’re a team around the state, look out for the Trojans next year as well because they are only losing one, yes one, player from this state championship winning team.
Congratulations to the Wendell Trojans boys soccer team!
