The USA and North Korea will clash in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup semi-finals after knockout-stage wins over Nigeria and Poland respectively.
Kennedy Fuller put the USA ahead againsgt Nigeria from the penalty spot two minutes before the break, Kimmi Ascanio doubling the advantage with about quarter of an hour to go.
Choe Rim-jong’s 14th-minute goal proved sufficient to send North Korea into the semi-finals, at the expense of Poland. They will play the USA on Wednesday night (30 October) at midnight, live on FIFA+.
The quarter-finals continue this evening (Sunday), as Spain meet Ecuador at 8.30pm and England go up against Japan at midnight.
The winners meet in the second semi-final at midnight on Thursday 31 October.
