Smith-Cotton girls soccer wins big on the road against Capital City – KOMU 8

Smith-Cotton defeated Capital City 4-0 Monday night.
JEFFERSON CITY — Smith-Cotton girls soccer dominated offensively the entire night and had a shutout score of 4-0 against Capital City Monday night.
Senior Zoey Hieronymus had a huge night and recorded the first goal for the Tigers off a corner kick.
Smith-Cotton led 1-0 at the half, and quickly lengthened their lead as the second half begun. Hieronymus had an assist to sophomore Audrey Lewis to put the Tigers up 2-0.
Seconds later, it was Zoey Hieronymus again, beating the keeper and tacking another goal on the board.
The Tigers did not back down, and with two minutes and change left in the game, senior Kendall Jackson had the final goal to complete a 4-0 shutout
Smith-Cotton will face Helias on the road Wednesday and Capital City will stay at home Wednesday to face Dixon.
