Bermuda’s under-17 football team will have to fight their way past Canada, Curacao, Anguilla and Turks & Caicos Islands if they are to qualify for the 2025 World Cup.
Bermuda were placed in Group A in the draw conducted by Pedro Velazquez, the director of men’s competitions at Concacaf, and the island will play host to every group match between February 7 and February 16, 2025.
Canada will be the team to beat in the group after they made it to the semi-finals of the Concacaf under-17 championships last year before losing to the United States.
Only the winners of the eight groups will qualify for the Under-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar every year for the next five years.
