Police: 2 shot following argument at youth football game at Walnut Hills High School – WLWT Cincinnati

The latest breaking updates, delivered straight to your email inbox.
Cincinnati police said that at least two people are injured following a shooting at a youth football game Sunday evening at Walnut Hills High School.
According to police, one person is in serious condition, while another sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting took place around 7:30 p.m. as one of the scheduled games was just beginning to wrap up.
WLWT witnessed numerous kids crying upon arriving on the scene.
Police said that the shooting appears to have started after an argument broke out between a group of males.
A suspect is not in custody at this time, but police say they have a lead on a person who is believed to have possibly fired off the shots. According to police, multiple cameras are present in the area, and that they are beginning to review footage from them that may have captured the suspect’s image.
Police did not say any more.
One parent in attendance that WLWT caught up with after police arrived expressed anger at the fact that a shooting would ever take place around a sporting event based around young children.
“This is little league,” the woman said. “This is little league. These kids are 12 and under. Why are these adults even having firearms, guns — this is insane, like, you can’t even do nothing with your kids in the city, it’s not (expletive) safe for nothing.”
She continued, “You can’t even bring your kids outside no more like, because of adults. It ain’t got nothing to do with these kids. It ain’t got nothing to do with the league. Nothing like that. It’s these adults who choose to live like this and feel like it’s okay to bring firearms to these little kid games.”
“It ruins everything. Our kids can’t do nothing.”
WLWT is working to learn more about the incident.
