South Africa is set to lock horns with New Zealand in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the cricket fraternity is about to get new world champions.
The last year’s finalists, South Africa stunned their nemesis in the last final, Australia in the semi-final on Thursday, October 17, after beating them comfortably by 8 wickets and still 16 balls to go.
This is the first time since the inaugural season in 2009 that Australia, the 6 time champions will not be playing the final.
On the other hand, the 2009 and 2010 finalists, New Zealand defeated the 2016 champions, West Indies in a thriller by 8 runs on Friday, October 18 to return to the final and win their first title.

The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final between South Africa and New Zealand will be played on October 20, 2024, at 19.30 (IST).
The final of the 2024 T20 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup between South Africa and New Zealand will be played at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
